Key Stage 1 playground case study
- Installation of soft surface
- Artificial grass
- Play equipment
- Water play
Indicative Budget: £30,000
This was a really interesting project as this school wanted to utilise a severely underused area of outside space. They approached us to see if we could come up with a design that would allow the Key Stage 1 children to be challenged physically in a safe and secure environment. It had to be colourful and inspiring to encourage imaginative play.
We used a combination of 54m2 artificial grass and 110m2 wet pour to resurface the entire area of 164m2. The equipment included a sleeper sandpit, 2 wall panel mirrors, Dolphin climbing frame, water play and a stage. The total cost of this area came to £24,817 plus VAT.
